How long does it take for NVC to respond to email asking for MNL#?

As the question says. I got the case number today (wow, fast - got the NOA2 Monday), but need confirmation via email for the medical, per guru Hank's guidelines.

My request took almost 2 weeks to get a response....it certainly was not very fast.....of course, with thousands of people calling them everyday looking for information.....just saying :-)

2 weeks before you received the instruction letter from NVC after having you case number?..huh..my friends i talked to had theirs in less than 5 days...

i just got the update on our case today that it was sent over to the DOS, ill wait a couple of days before i call NVC for my MNL#, so what your saying is we have to wait for the Email from NVC for our case number before we can make appointments at usem, St. lukes etc?

Yup- I had my case number by phone already....I was trying to get something in writing, I had sent an email, talked to two reps at NVC about getting a notice and then finally received an answer from my email and it took over 2 weeks...

We received our Manila case number thru mail July 25, 2013, NOA2 on July 9, 2013. So we waited, 16 days to received the mail. But we actually got the case number before that thru a phone call on July 18, 2013, that was 9 days after NOA2.

Not quite. You can pay the fee and make the appointment with just your MNL#, but you need either the email from NVC with the MNL# printed out or the NVC letter itself in order to go to the medical.

I received a response after 17 days, but I wasn't really waiting for it after I got the MNL # and confirmed with the agent that I would be receiving a letter in the mail.

Damn, I hope it's not that long.

I'm planning on going there for an early October interview, so we want to get the medical done two months in advance in case of a sputum.

I sent my email out to NVC requesting our MNL number on July 9th, I received the response back on July 23rd

The funny thing was that the response email back from NVC corresponded to when our file was shipped out to the Embassy in Manila, maybe some correlation there......

I called them twice....they said they would send something out....... it was just hot air, nothing came until I sent the inquiry by email. When you have them on the phone, ask them to send it while you are on the phone with them....pin them down on when it will be sent.

I assumed it would be sent out right away that day.....but no so..... :-(

Just got off the phone. The rep said to call Monday and request an email for the MNL number that she gave me. So we'll see if that speeds things up.

She said she couldn't tonight because "they just got it today", whatever that means.
