It pains to check my case status as it is on "Acceptance" since NOA1 in July. I got the possible interview waiver so more waiting.. Then my heart was crushed when I learned that someone who had a NOA1 of Sept 3 has the GC in production state. I'm in no way sad nor wishing ill for that person. In fact, I'm happy. However, that just put me in a darker hole... Oh well... Focusing on work now... **vent over**

I got a text message on November 29th to check the case status online so I logged on to the USCIS website and it finally changed to "Card/Document Production". Then, a few hours later I got 2 more texts and an email from USCIS saying that the case status had been updated again (retroactively) to "Decision." I guess this means a green card might be on its way within 60 days or so?

Mine says 'acceptance' also. I have received no communication from USCIS about AOS since getting the NOA1. It's frustrating to see other people get their card production without interview and have an NOA1 date after ours. But that's the same as going through the K1 phase of this anyway. I just wished I knew what was going on - I'd even be happy to get the 'interview waiver' letter. Just anything rather than this limbo.

Interviewed today and was approved on the spot. I'm just glad that's over with for now, or at least until removing conditions in 2 years.

Awesome news! I'm still waiting for Denver to give us an interview date. What kind of questions were asked?

The IO went through the I-130 & I-485 forms and attachments going through each question individually and confirming the contents of the forms. He occasionally asked follow up questions relating to the form entries and moved on when he was satisfied. I think it was pretty standard stuff. He also went through the yes or no questions on the I-485 thoroughly eliciting answers out of every question (are you a terrorist for example). I prepared photos to show in addition to the ones I submitted and he didn't even look at them. After asking my spouse and I about the forms he asked if we had additional evidence of commingling of funds and we showed him credit cards, bank and other (joint) bill statements and insurance cards/documents. He photocopied these additional documents and 2 minutes after that we were done. The wait was longer than the interview itself.

When you go for your interview, just make sure to get there early. We had our schedule at 10:00 a.m. but was there at 9:30. You have to go through a thorough search much like at an airport were they ask you take off your shoes, belts, watches and everything out of your pockets. There could be a long line an you might have to wait a few minutes to get through. Then you are asked to wait at a holding area with other people with scheduled interviews until you are called into the IO's office. The people at the Denver field office were very accommodating and helpful so don't worry about your interview. Good luck!

I checked my mailbox yesterday and I found a Letter from USCIS about the potential interview waiver.. We didn't check out mail for like 3 weeks because we were out of town.. We got happy to receive some kind of letter from them.. The online status still shows ACCEPTANCE though.. Our NOA1 date was late July/early August...

More waiting I guess now..

I was one of those who was anxious (and a bit angry) because our case status was stuck on "Acceptance" since July! I was actually waiting patiently for a "Case Waiver" Letter. Anything would be better than nothing! But this morning, my husband got a text saying that his case has been updated! Checked his email, and finally we got this message.

On December 13, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

The USCIS case status update website says the same!! We are so excited to receive his card and welcome letter soon! God is good... no interview, and approved in 5 months! Here's to hoping that all of us who haven't heard anything gets the card approved before the new year!! Yay! :)
