No no no...that is not what i was talking about at allll...i did mention processing of a GC without an interview....GC means GREEN CARD not NOA1...NOA1 is a few day after submission...and yes u will not see any information on i.485 on the nbc website...its been like that since time immemorial...use your service center processing time to track your case...i hope u understand this time around

I did understand what you wrote...i know that GC means green card...however, when do you start to calculate 6-9 months? from the day they recieved it? thats my question.

Add me to the list of people still in 'Acceptance'. My NOA1 date is 18 July. I got my EAD and AP quite quickly as I expedited it due to a job offer. But I'm having problems with my DMV as they won't allow me to take my driving test until I have my GC!

I take it, as I haven't heard anything at all on my AOS, that I don't have an RFE?

Finally!!!

Notice that EAD card is in production.

Hopefully it's a combo card that has the AP too. M

It took 83 days! One week shy of their 90 day timeline.

Same here, I don't understand what the hold up is about since everything else (bio and EAD/AP) was speedy early on. No RFE for me too. I'd understand that there may be delays for those waiting for an RFE response but for us that don't have RFEs under evaluation and still in "interview and testing" status for over 60 days is just ridiculous. I tried calling the hotline but they were not helpful at all. At this point, I am wondering if the July filers that are still waiting for an interview schedule should expect an interview waiver. I would rather get the interview because that would mean automatic approval post interview instead of waiting to hear from USCIS, checking the website and the mail daily. It's killing me.

Sein oder Nichtsein, das ist heir die Frage.

Are you sure? Can't you take your SSC and EAD and maybe your I-94 and the NOA for your AOS to the DMV and show all that as proof of your status?

I'm just kind of surprised because I was able to get an Illinois driver's license when I was here as an AuPair, and I was able to renew it even before actually moving back here. Check out the Illinois Drivers Handbook (http://driving-tests.org/illinois/illinois-drivers-handbook-online/) on page 6.

got a question. i know it's weird to ask if this is normal, (since nothing is really normal - each case is different)

i got my notice that EAD card is sent to me today (90th day to date), i'm hoping it's a combo card.

But online it AP still says under initial review.

am i getting a combo card?

furthermore, my AOS application is still in it's ACCEPTANCE stage. i did not receive any RFE, nor waiver for interview letter/ notice.

If you applied for AP with AOS (and EAD) it is most likely you'll get the combo card. The website is unreliable and it is possible that they just neglected to update the status of your AP application.

How long have you been on the AOS "acceptance" status? It seems like we are all waiting, 57 days for me in "interview and testing" and still no interview notice. You can try and give them a call but they will probably just tell you to wait as most of our applications are still within regular processing periods.

Hi HollyGolightly,

AOS has been 86 days in Acceptance.

calling them is futile, they just tell you what is on the website. it's like they're reading off of it. ranting33va.gif
