Hi guys!

I filed for AOS early July. I received my EAD card on September 13th, i never got any form of notification that it was approved or on its way, so it was a surprise when i received it. I still haven't received a letter for an interview yet. Do you suggest i continue to wait or contact them about this? I've been browsing around on this thread and it seems that most of the July filers have an interview scheduled or have been approved. I also have just checked the status of my application on the USCIS website, it is still under "acceptance"

I appreciate your advice

Thanks :)

Date FIled: July 3rd 2013

NOA Date: July 9th 2013

Hi Susi&Charlie,

Do you mind if i ask you what you received a RFE for?

I got an RFE because I forgot to submit evidence that my co-sponsor is eligible to work in the US. He's a US citizen, so I just had to send in a copy of the passport ID page. And obviously my response has been reviewed because otherwise I probably wouldn't have gotten the EAD/AP yet, but my AOS status is still in RFE response review.

Adjustment of Status:

07/09/2013 filed AOS/EAD/AP

07/15/2013 NOAs

08/07/2013 AOS RFE

08/09/2013 Biometrics

08/17/2013 RFE response received at NBC

09/11/2013 EAD/AP in production

09/19/2013 received EAD/AP

11/18/2013 potential interview waiver case notification

You can call them, but really all they do is read your status to you and tell you to wait however many days it says in your status to wait for. Or they might look up your local office's wait time and tell you that you're still within normal processing times. The USCIS call center is pretty worthless...

I'm sure your EAD is coming soon. If you call them they're only going to tell you that EAD processing currently takes 3 months, so don't waste your time.

Well i guess complaining on VJ somehow helped me... Got EAD/AP approval notice yesterday (text message/email around 5pm central time) Now waiting for my combo card so i can get things done (DL, start looking for jobs etc...)

However AOS is also still on acceptance, i guess they don't update it that regularly. Now that i have my EAD/AP i am guessing i am an interview waiver case and won't have my GC before another 6 months or more... Didn't get a RFE either so it is good.
