Kind of late to this party blush.png.

AOS from K-1 Visa

July 8 - Applied for Social Security number.

July 11 - Filed for AOS, EAD and AP.

July 16 - Got Social Security card in the mail.

July 22 - Received the NOA 1 emails.

July 30 - Got the NOA 1 hard copies in the mail.

August 5 - Got letter scheduling biometrics for August 19th.

August 19 - Biometrics appointment completed.

Now more of the waiting game -__-. I just checked the status of all three cases online after not checking since early August (since it seems like USCIS doesn't update it often enough to make it necessary). No change at all to the AOS case status, it still says "Acceptance" even though we had the Bio appointment on August 19th, but the AP is in "Post Decision Activity" and it says that on September 17th they mailed a notice that it's been approved. We haven't gotten anything in the mail but maybe it'll be in the mail today since it's been almost a week since it was mailed out? The EAD says that it's in "Card/Document Production" as of September 20th and to allow up to 30 days for the card to be mailed. This seems like good news but I think I know better than to be cautious at best. We'll see!

I received my GREEN CARD this Saturday 21. Very happy! I had been out of status for 18 years since I overstayed my visa. It has been a fast process. Only 73 days from application to approval. The interview was very tough but everything else has been very smooth. No RFE's, we didn't hire a lawyer. I just checked boards like these for many months before we applied. I wish you good luck to all of you. I will travel very soon to Mexico to see my family, most of whom I haven't seen close to 2 decades. dancin5hr.gif
