How long does it take to receive a notification

Me and my husband sent our package on 07/18(thurs), today is 07/26(fri) and we still have no notifications ( no email, no text message). Is that normal?

FYI we had tracking number from post office and it says the package was delivered 07/22(mon)

AOS based on a marriage with US citizen:

06/06/2012 - last entry in USA on J1 visa;

05/06/2013 - got married;

07/18/2013 - sent the package (I-130, I-485, I-765);

07/23/2013 - USCIS received the package;

07/29/2013 - received notifications for acceptance via e-mails and text messages;

08/02/2013 - received notifications for acceptance via mail;

08/08/2013 - received biometrics letter (appointment for 08/14) via mail, without any e-mail or text message notifications;

08/14/2013 - done with biometrics;

08/22/2013 - I-485 online status updated to "Testing and Interview";

08/28/2013 - I-485 online status says " On August 28, 2013, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for October 4, 2013...";

08/30/2013 - received notification for an Interview on October 04 2013, 8:30 am via mail;

09/23/2013 - I-765 online status updated to "Card/Document Production";

09/28/2013 - received EAD card;

10/04/2013 - interview day - approved on spot!

10/17/2013 - received my green card via mail

Unfortunately for the folks, like most of us here at the forums trying to do immigration the legal way, it seems that these delays in service have become the norm. Sadly, the immigration system seems to be barely limping along. It is good that your have USPS tracking indicating that they did receive your application package. Follow the money, keep an eye out for when the funds are removed from your account. The government is broke and always wants money. Hopefully you will receive some notification of receipt from USCIS after they have had it for 2 weeks.

Hang in there, don't despair, and be patient.

Thanks for the support and the response, A&B. I am also concern about my husband's I-864, because at the time when we sent it 07/18, he was still not active duty, but we attached an explanation letter saying that he will be active duty once he goes to boot camp which will be on 07/25, and we really hoped that they will receive the package and send us notification before this date. And because today is 07/26 and we still don't have any notifications, we really hope that this change in his status won't be a problem...

I,

sent the forms on July 18th 2013

USCIS got them July 19th

received texts and e-mails (4 of them each) on July 23rd at 22:51

checks cashed on July 24th at 02:02

So, you might get notifications tonight. But, i think you should give it a week before starting to worry.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

asking for your advice we mailed my wife's AOS papers last october 28,2014 and the tracking from post office says they received it by october 30,2014 but unti today we havent receive any notification of acceptance from USCIS. thanks!
