We got an RFE a few weeks ago, and sent what they wanted a week later. Unfortunately, I threw out the postal receipt with the tracking number on it because I mixed up some receipts :(
For our k1 RFE, I believe they updated our case status saying that they have received our package. Do they do this with the AOS RFE's as well?
I got my biometrics done a week and a half ago and was told that would be updated on my USCIS case status. However, it's still not updated. Maybe it's just behind?!!
I'm just hoping hoping that my package didn't get lost in the mail!

About 20 dyas after I had sent the RFE, I received an email stating that they received my documents and to allow time up to 60days to hear a response bacl.

This was the email I had received.... I got my RFE request April 26, they responded June 10

On June 10, 2013, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use the processing time information on our website to estimate when this case will be done. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Funny thing is that this morning when I checked the USCIS website, it hadn't been updated! When I checked it later this afternoon, it was! They received it, and I got the same response as you did.

Thanks!

In my case we received an RFE from the local office after the interview, and the case status was never updated online for this, it was still on "testing & interview" and oit only changed to "decision" when I received my approval notice by email last week. So I guess it depends on whether you receive the RFE from the NBC or from the local office, the local office might not update the case status when sending an RFE...
