i think the problem here might be that ya'll are a bit out of touch with certain sectors of popular culture. remember "sippin on some sizzurp" from 2000? ever hear lil wayne refer to "drank" or "purple drank"?

kids drink cough syrup to trip. i hung out with guys that did that in the nineties..this isn't new but it certainly is something you should be aware of, especially if you have kids.

Purple microdot. That brings back memories. When I went to high school they used to have smoking areas outside. Of course they were basically drug markets. This kid dropped a whole bunch of those microdots on the ground out there. I remember going back to class and looking at the bottom my shoe, and their was one stuck in between the tread of my shoe. That was a fun day at school.

MD 20/20 is the lowest of the low. It's worse than Boones Farm. It's basically the exact same thing as Thunderbird if you've ever heard of that.

They used to call it ruby juice in the 80s. I think that was the stuff with Codeine in it though.

The first time I heard about people getting high on couch syrup was in the 1970's. Another hippy and myself were picked up by a couple hookers north of Santa Barbara on US 101. They asked us if we had any money for gas. Of course not. Dirty hippies don't have any money, and no grass either. So, they offered a ride anyways. We made it to the next truck stop, and were told to wait in the car, while one of the hookers went off to make some money. A half tank of gas later and a couple bottles of Robitussin, we were back on the road. Those girls sure liked their cough syrup.
