Checking my status we got that message ! Could Someone translate in simple words what does it mean ?

Congratulations on your approval, it means that your case has been farwared to NVC then NVC will farward it to embassy where your fiance lives. In a weeks time start calling NVC or department od state to get your case number.

No they are close today but instead of calling NVC on monday, call Dept of State at 202-663-1225. NVC hold time is crazy, the last time I called I was on hold for 25 minutes but dept of state is less than 3 minutes. Am sure yours is already on its way to Nigeria since you got approved on july 12.

ohh thank u so the Dept of State can give me my case # and confirm its been sent? Can they tell me the date NVC received my case as well?

yes they can, they were the people I called on Friday and they gave me my case number and told me that NVC received my case on the 26th and that by Monday or Tuesday it should be mailed to Nigeria embassy.

My case (July 17- NOA2) was sent to the London embassy today, so everyone around that approval time should be right there with me!

We received NOA2 approval July 20th (ill be attending London also!), can I ask how you found out it was sent to London? Who did you call?

hi everyone! i'm new here. our I-129F was approved June 26, 2013, my fiANce received a mail July 8 stating that our papers are forwarded to NVC, then after few days, he received a mail again with our case number and said that our case is was forwarded to the consulate here in the Philippines, HOW COME UNTIL NOW, I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING YET, PACKET/PACKAGE OR CONFIRMATION THAT I SHOULD SCHEDULE MYSELF FOR THE MEDICAL exam and VISA interview. PLS HELP US. Thank you!

Of course you may ask!! I called NVC a week after my NOA2 to get my LND#, and they didn't have it, but then I called the next day, and t was there. Be aware- the hold time is forever!! Then I waited for the DoS website to show that our case is in transit to the embassy, which was yesterday, and my fiancé booked his medical today. Overall, I found DoS to be a lot more helpful than NVC.

I just called again, and got my LND# !!!! The case was received yesterday, so it only took 8 days from my NOA2! Keep checking, things are moving fast!!!

Congratulations to you, too!! Do you have the police certificate, yet? If so, I would definitely suggest booking the medical as soon as your file says 'in transit' on the DoS website. My fiancé said he asked for the next open appointment, and the earliest date available was 15 days away. So, in 15 days, I am sure the consulate will have our case as it says 'in transit'! good luck to you!!

By now the consulate should have it, you should call or send them an email so they can send packet 3 and instruction on how to schudule your interview and where to go for your medical, most consulate send them through email. If your the beneficiary you need fill out ds-156 and ds-156k which are the forms inside packet 3, you can download them on line and start working on it.Your fiance needs to fill out 1-134 and including supporting evidence like pays tube, letter of employment, w2 and tax return. Goodluck

I dont have the consulate phone number but you can call NVC to get the consulate phone number or you click on portals and the consulate information should be there. packet 1 is the noa1 and packet 2 is the noa2 which you already have, what you need is packet 3 and packet 4. Packet 3 is instruction package that has form Ds-156 and Ds-156k that the beneficiary needs to fiil out while packet 4 is just an appointment package which has the interview date and final checklist on what to bring on the day of the interview. You dont have to wait to get all this from the embassy before you can proceeded to next step, once you have your MNL number you can pay your visa fee and go online and schedule your own appointment, do medicals and police report.

okay, thank you so much for that info. that is very useful to us. i've been asking about that "packet" and we're so confused, thank you for enlightening us. so the packet4 will be sent after I schedule my interview, am I right?

You welcome, after scheduling the interview online print out the confirmation letter because its needed for the interview. That is considered your packet 4.
