Got NOA2 7/22. Hard copy 7/26. It says approved petition has been forwarded to the listed consulate. What does that mean???? Called NVC they don't have it. They said follow up with USCIS for clarification. Has anyone else received this type of notice??

The part that says they sent it to the listed consulate just means that they'll send it to NVC. Give it a couple more days. Yours was only approved 4 days ago and mine took 8 days to get there.

I recommend you call the Dept of State (202-663-1225) over the NVC. Our petition was shipped on 7/18 and I called a week later to hear the same thing I heard last time I called; "we don't have you in our system, please wait up to 8 weeks". After calling the DoS (hit 1 for english and then 0 for an operator...i was surprised no wait or annoying music!) he took my info and told me the NVC had it and should be done processing it shortly. He also had my case number too. DoS was much more easier to deal with than NVC.

Is the NVC open saturdays?? Lol i wanna call right now!! Excited!!! NOA2 July 12

No they are close today but instead of calling NVC on monday, call Dept of State at 202-663-1225. NVC hold time is crazy, the last time I called I was on hold for 25 minutes but dept of state is less than 3 minutes. Am sure yours is already on its way to Nigeria since you got approved on july 12.
