Certified Translated document need to be signed?

Hello to all, perhaps you guys can help me with something.

I'm currently in the process of trying to bring my fiance over from Honduras. I'm aware that one of the requirements is that my fiance and myself need to write a letter of intent stating that we want to get married(which we did already). I'm also aware that these letters need to be signed and since my fiance doesn't know english, her letter must be translated by a certified translator. But my question is, once my fiance writes her signature on the letter & it gets translated, does she need to write her signature on the translated document as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Send her the English version and have her just sign that. That's what everyone does.

If you pursue your different course, yes she should sign both.

It would be easier to type out her letter in English, tell her what it says, have her sign and date it and mail it to you. When it comes time for the K-1 interview later, she can provide a new update letter of intent in her own language to the consulate with no translation needed.

So when I send out the I-129f packet, do I send it with just the translated letter with her signature on it or do I need to send both with her signatures? Because I went to someone who is a certified translator and she told me that my fiance didn't need to sign the translated copy. Just the original.

You don;t need the translation for the 129, just have them sign the English copy. Translate a copy, sign it and bring it to the interview later. It could be 5 or 6 months before you get an approved 129. You will want to sign new intent letters later on anyway.

I was saying there is no need for a translation at all. Have her sign one that is written in English to send with the I-129F.
