Lawyer didn't send any evidence with AOS. Please help

Hi!

Thanks for reading my post. I'm really frustrated and I don't know what to do. Maybe you can help me

So I came to the US on an F1 visa last year. Met my husband (USC) in August last year and we got married in May this year.

Now we are filing for AOS and I read in the instructions of the I-130 that we need evidence of bonafide marriage.

So we hired a lawyer to do all the filing for us etc. and apparently she sent our forms in without any evidence whatsoever other than the marriage certificate. Is my petition going to get denied now? Did any of you have a case like that? What happened to you?

I spoke to my lawyer about this issue and all she would say is "some cases send in evidence, some don't". I'm frustrated and scared my petition won't get through please help me

with this adjustment of status type, and the basis for filing,

it's almost a dead cert that you'll have to go in for an interview.

So, prep yer evidence and have it ready on interview day.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

It would be wise not only to send marriage certificate but wedding pictures, bank accounts and so on. It's a good thing to front load your application or at least send basic evidence. The lack of evidence may triggered an RFE and unnecessarily delay your case.

Thanks. I know and I told her that but she went ahead and sent in my case anyway. Now I am really screwed I guess. Is there a possibility that they just deny the case right away without even sending a RFE?

No they will always give you a second chance to submit more evidences that's why they send RFE to applicants as long as you sent marriage cert in the original package. Like keep your fingers crossed and get all documents for interview
