Yep, you got those on lock. Although Nascar, there is a black woman trying for that. I don't know how far she will get.

You can bet they'll do everything in their power to make sure she gets as far as possible. They'd love to have that market I'm sure.

Hockey! Black folks have weak ankles, or so I've been told.

You would think as violent as hockey is, we would flock to it. But ice skating and cold are two things we don't do well.

When I was a kid, my grandfather used to watch golf on TV every Sunday. Those were quite possibly the most boring Sundays of my entire life.

there was always the bowling championships.

Lee Trevino and Earl Anthony. I think we all had the same Grandfather.laughing.gif

Yep. My grandmother was the bowling freak. I think the guy she always talked about was something Weber. Not sure of the first name.

Right now she has some issues to overcome. Black folks have yet to figure out if you're going to be in the public eye, you have to have your shyt together:

Seriously.

My parents had me at an older age (my brothers are 13 and 14 years older than me ... oops!!) so I didn't get a chance to know my grandparents very well. So I was never exposed to this awesomeness being discussed.

My Grandfather died when I was 16, he was more my Dad than my real Father was. I would have given anything to have had more time with him.

for the most part my family are redskins fans (not football fans, redskins fans). i remember my dad watching hockey but the capitals frustrated him worse than the redskins.. they still won superbowls when i was young.

One of my grandparents died a couple months before I was born. My paternal grandmother died in 97, and was so sick (cancer) that I didn't spend much time with her before that.

My paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother both died within a month of each other in 2009. They were both in nursing homes for years and as a teenager, that was the last place I wanted to be. I regret not making the effort to get to know them better, for sure.

Wait, do they have 1000 bills here?

100 dollars is the largest in circulation. They do have $10,000 dollar bills, but those are not in circulation, only for international transfers, although that is almost all done electronically these days.
