At least this puts to rest the "the jury believed Zimmerman's innocence and that's why they came back with not guilty" nonsense that some people around here believe.

When asked by Roberts whether the case should have gone to trial, Maddy said, "I don't think so."

"I felt like this was a publicity stunt. This whole court service thing to me was publicity," she said.

GZ was found "not guilty", he was not found "innocent" Anyone that said that is wrong.

This is such a different statement than what the first juror decided to say, too.

As long as the verdict was unanimous, it does not matter how they got to that agreement. 6 people, probably 6 different routes to the same answer. I expect that. It actually means it was a FAIR trial and fair deliberation as each juror has come to the same conclusion on their own.

If they all agreed, then the theory of jury rigging could have some plausibility. As it is, the idea of racism playing a part is absurd.

Actually I think she is stating what a lot of people thought. In her heart (emotionally), a person had been killed and someone needed to pay for that. However, after looking at the evidence and the law it was impossible to convict.

In fact, after looking at the evidence and the law, she goes so far as to conclude the case should never have gone to trial.
