I asked before but I am still kinda confused and the hospital is not returning my email. K will follow with a phonecall next week though.

We did the medical exam process in October last year, paid the fees and got the shots.

What should she expect to happen this go around? How much will the fees be? etc

Thanks.

Its under a year she should not have to have another medical. I believe she just goes there with interview letter and she gets another sealed packet for interview.

Why not call them and ask and also email embassy to inquire what you need to bring for an interview that happens 11 months after 1st one.

I rooted around the embassy website and found this.

"Medical Examination forms

All visa applicants must have a completed medical report from a designated medical facility (PDF 90KB) before they are eligible for an interview. Medical reports from other medical centers will not be honored. A Medical Report is valid for six months from the date of the physical. Please ensure that your Medical Report is still valid before you arrive at the port of entry in the United States. [Click to open “ Medical Examination” PDF 261KB ]"

So I'm afraid it's another medical for us since the medical was performed in October 2012.

I heared back from the embassy, I'm quite suprised on thier quick response actually. Very refreshing though it's not the answer I was hoping for.

"Dear "Mr. Should Be Used To Waiting By Now,"

Thank you for contacting the U.S. Consulate, Lagos Nigeria. We have no records of "Ms. Growing Older While Waiting’s" case in our system, it has not been sent from the National Visa Center to us here in Lagos. Applicants are contacted in the order the petitions are received and will be informed their appointment. You may contact the National Visa Center directly at NVCinquiry@state.gov if you have questions about the status of the approved petition.

Medical report is valid for six months. She will need to attend interview with a new medical report when she is schedule for an appointment.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us any time.

Sincerely, "

TJ&R, we actually forgot but I will mount my old archive email and see if I can locate it. I do know that Childrens place made us pay for all the shots that we already had a record for taking ranting33va.gif

Your wife will need a new medical but should not need shots unless she didn't complete any of the ones that require a series of shots. She should be able to get a copy of her shot records from her prior medical.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I agree with Nigeriaorbust. I don't think that she will have to take the shots over because they last for years. I'm sure that the Dr. will just update her record on the vaccination, but she will need to do the medical over
