Is it required to have a letter from your supervisor verifying your employment/income and have his signature on it?

If my company has a site that you can print off verification of employment and income. It states my date of employment, address, SSN, current base salary, year to date earning, and saying that "anticipate continued employment as long as services are satisfactory and work is available".

I don't know if anyone has turn in one of these and worked or has everyone just been getting their supervisor/manager to write the letter?

Thanks!

You are not required to provide proof of employment in connection with the I-134, if that is what you are talking about. All you need do is submit your tax returns (transcripts are preferred by the USCIS) along with the form. If you have a statement supporting your claim to employment and condition it always helps.

Good luck.

I have just recently graduate from college and started working. So my tax returns from previous years does not have a sufficient amount of income to sponsor.

guangzhou wants to see:

--prior years income from tax returns and

--current annual income (computed, real, projection or something else)

so bear that in mind as your compiling yer I-134 stuff.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

My previous years income tax returns are very low due to being a student and only working part time. However, I do have a decent income now.

Do you have to have a signed letter from employer to verify current income? Is paychecks alone enough?

the letter you first described should be sufficient with the last 3 paystubs, for current annual income.

IMO, though, you'll get dinged for prior years income, and should seek a co-sponser or joint-sponser.

Due to being a college student, my previous years' income is below 100% poverty line.

I do have well over 400% poverty line income now. It is just so hard to get a co-sponsor cause of the possible responsibilities.

I'll have pay stubs printed out to prove my current income and have an employment/income verification printed on company site and list my investments on I-134.

We can explain that to the interviewer and hopefully they'll understand.

The letter you can request from HR the owner of the company doesn't have to sign it, just the HR rep. smile.png Accompanied with some pay stubs, and a tax return with an enrollment record in school will likely suffice just fine. They care more about if you can afford NOW. And with the enrollment record from the school your graduated, it'll explain why your tax return the year before was so low.

bear in mind, about the I-134:

1. it's period of coverage is only during the I-94 validity (90 days) and

2. it's not legally binding.

The I-864, otoh, is legally binding, and you are NOT filing that , yer filing the I-134.

So, these 'possible responsibilities' you speak of, IMO, are miniscule. Bear that in mind as you are talking to possible co-sponsers, joint-sponsers, this weekend.

Humm, Darnell your advice is always spot on and this caught my attention. My current income is multiple times higher then the requirement. However, I was in China for about 10 months of the past two years not working living off saving. So my tax returns show almost zero income, in fact they show a Net Operating Loss (or negative income) due to rental properties. I have been employed as a W2 employee for 2 months and our interview (K1) date is 3 weeks away. I have the letter from employer and three pay stubs do you think a co-sponsor is needed?
