tax transcripts not available yet...

My co-sponsor had gotten an extension on filing both his 2011 and 2012 tax returns. He just filed both of them on Monday this week. He was able to file 2012 electronically since it is from the most current tax year, but 2011 had to be submitted with a paper copy. The IRS says that it can take up to 60 days to process the returns and make a transcript available.

My problem is that I already have the NOA2 approval and am just waiting for my case number from NVC. I was really hoping to schedule the interview as soon as I got the case number, however now I am really nervous about getting the tax transcripts on time. My co-sponsor consistantly has make far more than the requirements on the I-134 form. He can provide pay stubs as well as W-2's. He also has photocopies of the tax returns he filed through H&R block. And maybe we could get the IRS to send a letter saying that transcripts are not available at this point. Is it stupid to go to the interview without the transcripts? I want everything to be perfect before I spend all the time and money to fly down for the interview. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? I am so nervous!
