Yeah, you'd think they could give you a little but more than "wait until the Consulate contacts you" or call CGI which has consistently given me WRONG answers (for ex they told me I could mail my initlal petition to GZ USCIS which would have been a disaster) and just now they told me to call US Citizen Services! I did, just for shits and giggles, and they were not pleased.

They also said only K visas can pay at the CITIC bank??

I told them perhaps they should train the CGI employees a little bit better in the consulate's processes, you know, if that's going to be the only avenue for information they should at least have CORRECT info.

Sorry mini-meltdown. helpsmilie.gif Also thanks again, Darnell, for answering so many questions! I appreciate that another human being will talk to me about visas. The upside is that maybe future users will benefit from my experience....?

I really hate the disconnect there, between CGI Stanley and Guangzhou IV.

IMO, though, since yer a DCF filer - you should be able to get some steam with the USCIS Guangzhou office, and you already know the phone number.

IMO, CGI Stanley China Help Desk folk are brain dead and have no power.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

HA CGI just admitted to me that they have no information on this part of the process (payment) and that Consulate doesn't even update them during this part!

I love honesty. rofl.gif

I'll call USCIS!! I think they'll tell me to e-mail the consulate too, but why not.
