i have a charm (? not sure if that's what its called, probably not) that has jesus hanging on the cross on one side and john paul II on the other. great stuff. so ironic. i wish i had a nun aunt. : (

Whenever people hear about her, they're so fascinated. It is pretty weird I guess. My wife is always asking questions about her.

I have a nun cousin. She had a position of authority in her order, and now is retired. She spent her active career at a school for "troubled" girls in Southern California, the usual kind of place unwed pregnant teenagers were sent to have their babies. Out of sight, and out of mind.

My Aunt's a nun working at the library in the Vatican. Got something to say?

Sure !

Does The Pope (pbuh) even get down to the Library at the Vatican? I'm a thinking not...

I'm more impressed she's working at the Vatican Library than the fact that she's a nun.

I've always had a soft-spot for librarians, regardless if frocked or no.

You know to be honest, it may be in Rome instead if the Vatican I forget. But either way she only sees the popes the same way everyone else does. From a distance and rarely.

Ya, there are other Catholic Libraries outside of the Holy See, but - let's try again, aye?

does she work inside the boundary, or outside ?

Well, she could certainly live in the Holy See and work outside the boundary...

I've been to The Vatican 4 times this century, always because of work in Roma. I like working in Roma.
