Hi,

Been reading all the info on people attending there interviews, as ours is coming up on the 16th August and a few of them have mentioned handing over tax returns and a W-2 form.

Is this something they will ask for from my fiancee or is it just another piece of info that will help but not essential? I've read all the Embassy/visa websites and not one of them mention tax returns!

Could someone clarify please?

Thanks...

I think it is Embassy specific. I know at Accra/Ghana Embassy they require 3 years' worth of tax transcripts from the IRS.

London requires proof of income or assets from the sponsor for the I-134. A tax return with W2 is one good way to prove income. The latest year is enough, not three years.

London does not mandate any particular way to prove income, so with other good proof, a tax return will not be required.

Don't panic, but more validation materials and information the better in my opinion. Check out what others have done fro Scotland in VJ. Good Luck.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Scotland interviews are in London. They don't need a tax return with the other proofs in London. Some have been approved on only an employer letter and nothing more. Two different proofs is suggested. He has three.
