I'm curious, how long does it take to receive NOA1? Mail, email, or both? How long until payment withdrawn? How long until text/email confirmation?

If you signed up for electronic notifications you should get an email/text within 24-48 hours of it being delivered to the lockbox.

You should get your hard copy for your NoA1 within 2 weeks of the electronic notification or the delivery to the lockbox in the snail mail.

The Payment would be withdrawn once you receive an email/text about an Alien Registration Number Change.

They dissemble your petition, scan all the files (electronic records) and put everything in the order and folders they use. They won't miss anything.

How long does it take to receive an email/text? It was delivered on the 24th, but I was under the impression it happened fast. They haven't withdrawn the money yet either. I'm not impatient, i just like to know things are going smoothly. :-P

Sometimes up to a week. My goodness beware my friend. You have a nice bit of waiting ahead of you.

Edit. We got ours (email) within two business days (just checked) but that was superhuman right there. You know it was delivered at least. If not today, maybe Monday.

It depends on how fast/slow the service center is that your petition was sent to, as well as how "far away" it is. Keep in mind they don't overnight everything. Typically, if you filed everything correctly and they don't kick it back to you with instructions, your check will be cashed in a week or so.

However, once you get your NoA1, I would advise you that you're waiting a minimum of 3 months, much more likely 5-8 months before you get your NoA2 or an RFE.

I would recommend getting everything together you'll need for the interview process while you're waiting (check out packet 3), and prepare your home for your fiance(e)'s arrival (buying toiletries, picking up more plates, towels, cleaning out closets, etc.)

The more prepared you are once you get that packet 3, the faster the post-petition-approval process will go.

Well they just took out the $340 I had sent them so that must mean they've accepted my application. I was more worried I sent it to the right place lol. Now to wait for the NOA1.
