Also please show me where it says a black person is less qualified. You said yourself when you see a person of color as a doctor or lawyer you can't help but see AA.

Exactly. That's my point. If race based preferences didn't exist, people wouldn't think that. THey would think a black doctor or lawyer is qualified because he/she attained that position on his/her own merits, not because of reverse racism.

So.... when is BET going off the air? When is the UNCF going to start collecting money for everyone of all colors? When is the NAACP going to start representing the advancement of all people? When is the Congressional Black Caucus going to include representatives of all colors? When is Tyler Perry going to cast white actors???

Like claiming "justice for Trayvon" while simultaneously ignoring the 11,000+ deaths of other young black folks in the time since his passing, the self-imposed double standard that black people not only embrace - but promote - is what makes white folks and Americans of all colors continue to accept the notion that "black people are special."

For those who truly know the ins and outs of dealing with people of all races they know it has very little to do with race but with culture. And until black people as a whole distance themselves from "that culture" (ghetto-#### ignant-#### parasitic welfare hoodrats) change is highly unlikely to come about. When grown men continue to wear their pants below their underwear it's no wonder they're not taken seriously. And yes, that includes white folks too.

But the difference there is it's not acceptable for 99.9% of white men to wear their pants below their underwear. Until black people make their peers pull their pants up... don't expect much from the rest of the nation.

Allowing, accepting, and promoting "special considerations" is akin to keeping those pants low. Yes, I'm talking to you, Mr. Sharpton. Yes, I'm talking to you, Mrs. Jackson Lee. And yes, I'm talking to you... Trayvon Martin.

how do you propose that "black people as a whole distance themselves from that culture"? people of all races participate in this "ghetto-#### ignant-#### parasitic welfare hoodrats" culture, do they not. i know quite a few white guys who let their pants sag.

for a white person, distancing themselves from such an abhorant sector of society merely involves pulling up their pants. but black people, have to mobilize the entire black population.

that is bullsht. straight up.

Do you not know any professional black people? They wouldn't allow themselves, for a second, to be included in that group. It is possible to be just a regular old dude and not have to be a person of any particular color.

Here's is where you'll get your education:

BET is owned by Viacom, talk to the white guy who owns it. It was created for black folks to get their music out to the public since MTV refused to play black videos. Now it's got more white folks doing reality shows than anything else.

UNCF: The UNCF doesn't give grants or scholarships to individuals, they fund schools, to which people of any race can go.

Here's the list of schools they assist:

And here's an article about the white valedictorian at Morehouse College

http://www.ajc.com/services/content/metr…

NAACP: Remember this: http://www.naacp.org/press/entry/naacp-statement-on-the-resignation-of-shirley-sherrod1/

It details when she helped a poor white family. Plus they are ran by a white man.

The black caucus is the only one I can't fight, because the one white person that wants to get in can't but they endorse him. Show me an all white organization that has a black member.

Tyler Perry? Really? Check the last temptation, the family they preys, Alex Cross, Good Deeds, all have white cast members. I don't recall seeing any white actor saying they are fighting to be in his movies. Plus when Kim Kardashian was cast in the last one, there was an uproar. You act like Hollywood is run by black folks.

All of your examples except for one are open to people of all races, there are more white people at HBC than there are black folks at Harvard, Colombia, and Yale combined.

We don't ignore the 11000 people killed every year, you do. You only care when someone says let's change the law about guns. There were hundreds of kids killed in Chicago last year, when did it hit the news? When there was a talk about gun control. That's when the light was shined on it.

I'm as far removed from that culture as you can be. Guess what? I still get asked do I listen to rap music, do I have gang ties, do I drink 40's? I can't bleach my skin, what do you suggest? I dress like a professional at all times, I talk proper english, plus I'm on the way to getting a degree, and married to a Malaysian ex-runway model. How more far removed do I have to be in order for someone to see me instead of my skin color?

And this special consideration? Read my response to Karee to understand this.

why wouldn't i know any 'professional black people'? 'that group' is all your construction and definition. i know 'professional black people' who have teenage children who sag their skinny jeans, listen to hip hop, etc. you're not making any sense. the culture is not exclusive to black people and yet black people are responsible for not only distancing themselves from it, but also changing it. ridiculous.

Exactly. That's my point. If race based preferences didn't exist, people wouldn't think that. THey would think a black doctor or lawyer is qualified because he/she attained that position on his/her own merits, not because of reverse racism.

But here is the double standard:

You and slim have no problem with us being profiled, because according to you we commit more crime so we warrant more "attention" than white people. So, isn't that special treatment? Isn't that what you want to get rid of?

So, it's completely ok to profile blacks, because we commit more crime, even though whites commit crimes as well? It's ok to ask us if we have a criminal record, and no one else, to ask for our FB passwords, because our privacy doesn't matter, to ask if we're gang members, even if we have no tattoos, no criminal record, not a whiff of danger, but of course this is ok because those other blacks do it, I must be a gang member.

But, you want to get rid of AA or anything that gives us "special consideration". So is it cool to treat us differently as long as we don't benefit from it, yet if it helps us there's a problem.

Yes I have, I don't agree with it but everyone here is entitled to their opinion.

You just don't get it, there is no such thing as a regular old dude when you are black. I'm not in that group, yet on this site and in real life, I've been talked to like I'm the incarnation of Tupac, when they used that broken slang, when they say I must be cool with blacks saying the N-word when I have repeatedly, vehemently stated how much I hate the word. It's like no matter what you do, you'll always have that stereotype following you.

Repost it, it might be something else I am thinking about.
