send iv packet without police certificate

Hi all...i need advice. i m now at the stage of completing IV packet. i got everything except for police certificate. it going to take more than a month before my police certificate is ready. should i send my IV packet without it? or should i wait? whats the possible consequences for both? thanks

July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

It is best to send Police Certificate with IV package. Otherwise they will send you checklist, and you will have to sent it. This will cause delays.

05/08/2013: FedEX'd the IV package (said lots of prayers while preparing the documentation!!!)

05/22/2013: NVC gave checklist to send Indian Police Certificate

06/23/2013: FedED'd the IV package with Indian Police Certificate and Updated Passport Page (I was added as Spouse)

07/25/2013: Case Complete

09/19/2013: Interview Date for US Embassy in New Delhi - OM SAI RAM - ***APPROVED***

09/26/2013: Husband received Passport with US Visa in postal mail

Some countries require the checklist to make the PCC, India is normally one of those. Some do not, but it doesn't matter either way, you can wait for the pcc or send it without. Sometimes you can request to be allowed to bring it to the interview vs sending it to the NVC in a checklist response as well.

There are several members who were successful in sending their packets without the police cert. they were able to persuade the nvc to accept the police cert at the time of the interview and avoided the rfe. this was done with the help of a supervisor at the nvc.

I would mail you stuff now since aos is taking about four weeks anyway to review
