Hi guys,

First of all, thanks for reading. I hope someone can answer my question or direct me to the right department.

I lived in the UK from 2006 to 2008 and returned to home country in 2008. I got the uk police certificate in 2013. In the certificate, it only states the CREATION DATE of the certificate. It does NoT mention from which period I lived in the UK at all. Please advise if this is ok? If not, please advise what I should do.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you Aaron!

Please someone have similar experience tell me, since I have already left the UK, will there be expiry date for police certificate? I just submit the application form this. It's still a long long way to go.

Thanks guys!

Email Guangzhou Consulate ask them regarding the acceptance of police certificate.

I believe when i emailed them about it, they state that they only accept the certificate if it's within 1 year of the created date.

Please someone with similar experience help....

Hi,

your UK police certificate is fine. If you are clean, they just say NO TRACE.

I was in UK too and used the same type of certificate. It is valid for 6 months. When NVC asked for police certificate, you have to submit it as well.

thanks

Nasir

Guangzhou wants to see police certificates that are 'within one year of issuance, or less'

either:

1. during NVC doc intake or

2. on interview day

so, pay attention to yer place in the queue for processing on uscis/nvc/IV.
