we made the appointments for my fiance and are in the process of buying plane tickets! smile.png We will go early Monday morning August 26 and her biometrics appointment is in the afternoon. Tuesday August 27 the medical exam and Wednesday August 28 her interview. smile.png And if all goes well she will be back in the USA with me on September 14 smile.pngsmile.pngsmile.png

You might be cutting it close on September 14th. As Kay said it looks like you will have the Consulate's office send the K1 visa (via DHL) to a DHL office close to your home in Mexico. Based on what Elizabeth was told yesterday during her interview it can take up to 10 days for the DHL package to arrive.

We will not purchase any ticket until after we know that her visa has been approved and she has it in her hand. Right now we are just trying to work out a timeline. I am working on being able to be there in Mexico with her and be of support to her and then when we return to Mexico City she wants to introduce me to some people and things like that, I'll help her pack up and we'll be on our way back to the states. :) We have gone through so much together during these past 2 years that we have known each other and cannot wait to finally be together at last! It is all we want!!

At the very bottom of form I-134, #11, it says "I ______(intend) _____________________________"
What do I want to write in there? I mean she will be my wife and I will be taking care of her for the rest of our lives but I don't know what exactly I should put in there. Can I put just that? (That I intend to support my soon-to-be wife for the rest of our lives) ??

I just wanna make sure I do this right.

Also, is it bad that I don't own real estate? I don't have stocks and bonds or any of that stuff either. I have my annual salary and savings....am I OK with just that for this form?? Oh boy I hope so! I make over the $19,000 minimum or whatever....

HELP!!!! :/

You can do that, follow the example form and do not check either one and put N/A (K1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE), or check intend and put K1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE. > http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf

Your income meets the requirement so there is no need to use or list assets at all. Leave all of those blank.

Awesome! Thank you so much!
One other thing then. Do I need the letter or whatever from the bank saying the date I opened the account, how much money has been deposited in the last year and the present balance? It talks about it in the instructions but I don't know if I need that then....

No, just most recent tax transcript, letter from employer and most recent pay stubs. You only need a letter from the bank or bank statements if you are listing money in the bank as an asset on the form.

Yes. They are free and do not take long to receive. They are easier because they contain all the tax info, verified by the IRS. No need to copy all your forms, schedules, W-2s and/or 1099s when using a tax return transcript. Of course, you CAN still send the complete copy of your return like that instead.

For the interview it says that you need the originals but I heard of someone who had a copy and simply gave them the copy of the US Citizen's birth certificate and reminded them that the petition I-129f had been approved and they accepted the copy.

Yes, you need another letter of intent to marry signed and dated.

Will copies of my US passport and Naturalization Certificate be enough?

Will my fiancée need to provide a letter of intent to marry (unsigned) be necessary?

Thanks

If you will not b present to actually hand carry those documents with you, then send copies only. I would never want to mail the originals of those. A copy should be good enough since your citizenship was already proven with the I-129F.

New letters of intent are not needed. There used to be one included with the instructions for the beneficiary only to sign at the interview, but they removed that.

Thanks for clearing my concerns.

Should my fiancée take her passport pictures at CDJ or anywhere in Mexico City?

Can you recommend a place in CDJ?

She can get them anywhere, so long as she makes sure to tell them she needs them sized 5 x 5 cm. The regular size Mexican passport photos are not the correct size. Hmm, do not have a recommendation, but my husband got his done somewhere near the consulate. They understand the US passport sizing needed for the consulate is 5 x 5 cm there. I am sure she can get them cheaper somewhere in Mexico City though.
