Real issues? Yeah, like racial prejudice no longer exists except among extremist groups like the neo-nazis and kkk. Sorry that it's too painful for some to acknowledge that the two hundred plus years of institutionalized racism can't be wiped away and forgotten in a matter of decades. Bigotry and stereotypes about blacks is real and continues to permeate within society, and pretending it's not there only reaffirms the kinds of societal injustices that blacks in America experience on a daily basis.

The majority of injustices against blacks in America are done by other blacks. These injustices have been "normalized" within the black community of the present in favor of blaming whites in America much as the past coastal african slave trading was "normalized" within the african community in the past in favor of blaming those who parked their ships at African docks and collected the black slaves from the blacks who captured and sold them. After all why would you pick yourself up and go to work if you can blame someone else for not feeling like you really need to?

There are fewer and fewer excuses left to the black community for the self-created problems they face. 50 years of civil rights and 30 years of driving "equality" down the throats of America have yielded only (1) measurable thing: Murder rates of 34.4 among black offenders and murder rates of 4.5 among white offenders which are considered acceptable, normal, all in a day's work, while the black community angrily rallies to protect the civil rights of a punk-a$$ little burglar who was killed in the middle of assaulting someone.

If the black community feels discrimminated against then I guess that after 30 years of sliding into a culture that celebrates crime, violence, sex, and drugs and their current culture of black leaders protecting the civil rights of other blacks to commit their crimes without penalty they have fairly earned it. Hell with 'em. I'm sick of hearing them whine about how 'bad' they have it. Three generations ago my family were Scots with NOTHING. We are not who we are today because we whined about and held our our hands expecting compensation for something that happened to our grandparents or great-grandparents and by not doing a dam thing for ourselves while we waited for some magic fairy from Washington to bring a funded program to us.

"They" were born here, grew up here, were handed free schoolbooks, handed a free ride to school, and except for a notable few "they" have wasted it.

"We" were forced off of land that "we" had farmed as serfs, basically slaves to large landowners, for generations and had to start over with nothing. "We" who have grandparents or great-grandparents who were YES "slaves" of large landowners never looked back from that and moved on.

That's the difference. Any other questions? Or are you going to tell me that yes you are a liberal, non-racist person but you believe that because of their color of their skin black people cannot also do this.

A ‘redundant’ population was forced by their landlords to either emigrate to North America, Australia or New Zealand or leave for the industrial cites of the Lowlands. Their were many winners in the Industrial Revolution, but many more losers.

Given comparable qualifications, white male job applicants with a criminal record have equal odds of landing a job as black male applicants with a clean background. If you have a name on your resume that suggests you are white, your chances of getting a call back are 50% higher than submitting that same resume with a name suggesting that you're black. There are similarities. In the Trayvon case, my common sense tells me that Trayvon initiated the physical confrontation. In this case we have

eye witnesses that say the White guy initiated it.

If he did flash his gun and then the White guy jumps as he is walking away, that's evidence that the White guy was crazy and therefore dangerous.

I guess if flashing a gun is a crime then they could deny the self defense because he was committing a a crime.
