Did he get his social security card yet? He has only been here 10 days, he cannot work without it. What is his educational background? Does he have any job experience? It took my husband 5 months before he found his first job, and it was a crappy job loading trucks at Walmart distribution center, but he was happy to be working. He is now working in his field of IT for a great company, with good pay and benefits. Be patient if he doesn't find a job right away, it will take a little time. I would suggest he look on the job boards like dice, CareerBuilder, Bright, Craig's List(this is where my husband found his current job). You husband should also make a resume, a cover letter, and set up an account on Linkedin.com. Good luck to your hubby!
