Here's what I know about rattlesnakes. Once one starts to go down the road to becoming a rattlesnake, you might as well write it off as a rattlesnake and shoot it in case it ever bites some one. You know, cus its a rattlesnake.

You do not know much about rattlesnakes.

I lived with them all around for a lot of years and in warm weather saw them all the time. Like every day. It was no trouble to find them on the driveway in the early morning...but the driveway was 8000 feet long so it wasn't necessarily near the house. A snake does not "go to the road to being a rattlesnake". Garter snakes are not ratllesnakes and never will be. Rattlesnakes are born that way.

I usually just left them alone when I encountered them away from the house. Once I was old enough to begin working on the property I carried a handgun, a Ruger Single Six .22 which worked well for drilling holes in fence posts and for head shooting rattlesnakes. If I encountered one near the house or barns I would shoot it. I didn't want rattlesnakes near where we lived. Would you? In the pastures I pretty much left them alone and walked around them.

For the most part they are beneficial creatures that don't bother anyone. If they get in where they don't belong then you need to kill them.

When people see a snake and it gets killed, often they then become nervous about snakes...not having realized that the snakes were there all along and now there is one less snake, so the chances of being bitten are actually less than they were before they saw the snake that was killed.

I did call him a Hyena. His actions were similar to that animals behaviors. I did not refer to him as a rattlesnake. We are talking about rattlesnakes. why would you associate rattlesnakes with Trayvon Martin?

I think you need to do some more search on what I said about Adam Lanza and James Holmes...you are being lazy and attributing things to me which are not true instead of researching what you say.

Just so we're clear, a rattlesnake is relatively safe, so long as it doesn't come near any guys with guns? I mean, if it gets lost or is just wondering around and happens to come near a guy with a gun, it should expect death right? Even if beating a hasty retreat?
