I've been reduced to a quivering mass of nerves. I tried to remember the gal's email at DOS and fired off an email to her to send the update to my work insteadl of my home email. I can't access that from work (naturally). It didn't come back as undeliverable, so maybe I got it right. If not, someone at state.gov will be scratching their head.

If you're reading this Mohammed.... HI HONEY!!!!!! (L)

No. The email I got yesterday from the Embassy in Cairo was that it was "ready for printing". (this makes me want to break things) That means the visa wasn't even printed out yet and I was advised that its not "final" until it is. Then, after that, they have to take it to TNT courier service to contact Mohammed or to deliver it to him. This whole process just doesn't move that fast. BUT... as soon as we know its printed you better believe Moh will be on the phone to TNT every day. What I'm chomping at the bit over is getting home to check the update to see if they printed it yet or if those poopheads came up with another reason to delay us. (Mohammed, if you're reading this: NO I don't think they did.)

For those who will be dealing with Cairo soon, you can ask the vets here. It takes monumental patience. They don't do anything quickly. Unfortunately I'm down to about a half teaspoon of that monumental patience left... don't anybody sneeze.
