Can someone give me any sign of hope. I filed my I-130 in May 28th, 2013 and got noticed of Recipt on 5/30/2013. Now I am waiting for the next step and I still haven't heard anything yet. My husband lives in the Dominican Republic and I am a US citizen. Should the whole process take only 6 months for him to come here? At the moment, they are saying my status is Initial Review. The 60 days mark is coming soon since the last notice.

You have a bit more waiting to do. It may take 6 months just at USCIS, the NVC shortly then the consulate

Sorry, this is not a quick process. That 60 day mark will probably come and go with no movement on your case

I hope it will be fast, especially since we have a baby together. I hope he can arrive by the end of the year, so we can spend Christmas together as a family. October will be our 2 years of marriage

I filed for my husband May 16th. We been married 3 yrs sept and together 8. We also have a lil boy together that will be 2 in Nov. We are in the same boat. Hard to say but be patient. I say this to you and to myself. smile.png

I started on the 13th on November and still waiting for CASE COMPLETED at nvc i am FROM Colombia.

I heard that too... 1 year to process it in the states, not sure if its true.

I got NOA 1 in April and so far no NOA2 yet

At least you are at NVC the next step. These couples here are waiting for their NOA2.

OP its at least 6 to 8 months just at USCIS. NVC add another 2 to 3 month than interview maybe another month wait. So a good year. Maybe sooner we pray but at least your husband will get the 10 year green card. Just hang on.
