Thanks to the California center for approving my petition on October 17, 2006 and saying the sent it to New Hampshire. It has now been 6 weeks and New Hampshire has not received the case yet. No one knows where the case is . USCIS has no clue and NVC has no clue nor do they care.

Thanks to the wonderful system of the federal government. You try to do things the honest way and they lose your paperwork. NVC says refile all the papers. All that hard work I did to make sure that everything was perfect is down the drain.

I sure would like to say some bad words right now. I am pist off. I have had so much patience, talking with officers and customer service representatives. No one has a clue!!!!!!!!!!! My letter says if you haven't received your information after 4 weeks from NVC to call them. FOR WHAT? To talk to some rude person.

More later

Just a thought- I noticed a while back there several CSCers who had to wait a long time before NVC acknowleded the petition had arrived. I remember Gary and Luz were one couple impacted bythis. It caused a bit of panic, but eventually they were acknowledged by NVC. During this same time I knew other people petitions went from CSC to NVC to the consulate in a short period of time.

Could it be the number of petitions going to the philippines is so large that it is taking NVC a longer time to enter them intot the system and get to the consulate? I bet your petition is sitting on the desk at NVC waiting in the stack with the others. I hope you hear something soon.

You know if there are so many petitions for the Philippines why dont they hire more help. I think most other countries are not this long to process. It seem a little discriminitory that we that have a sweety in the Philippines that we have to wait the longest. I need to be patient, but to be told that my petition is lost is a little disturbing. On top of listening to the Cocky people at the other end of the phone call. They act like they are in control of your situation and you have no say about anything. The federal government says jump and then we have to say how HIGH!!! We vote for these people in office that make this system what it is. I paid 170.00 for a petition fee. Hell charge me twice that. My girl is worth that and get some help in this system. It used to take only 5-7 months or less to get a K-1.

Well today I am not happy and I will get something done about it.

Thanks for your help you all I am just a little PO'D today.

Ok the length of the wait for your petition to be approved or sent to NVC has nothing to do with what country your fiance comes from. There is no discrimination in even a small way. We all wait our length of time. My husband is from Romania, it took almost 7 months for us to get approved and visa in hand, Romania is small, im sure there are more from your fiances country filing for a k1 then there are from romania, but that didnt speed up our process.

i understand you are upset, but dont call discrimination over something that isnt.no country is any more special or any less special than the other. call your congressman is you need help.

I have called NVC and spoke with several employees and was told it can take up to 6 months to receive a case from USCIS. How are some sent from USCIS and NVC in 1 week to 4 weeks. It's now been almost 8 weeks or 60 days, when I call both offices (NVC and USCIS)they are blaming each other for the missing case. I am wondering where my case is ?

We're in a similar situation.

Our petition was approved by CSC on September 12/06 and the NVC has yet to receive it. We've been back and forth with phone calls, faxes, and letters to the NVC, CSC, and the Customer Service Line. We've had the same results... NVC saying they don't have it and to contact CSC... the Customer Service Line trying to tell us that the petitions go directly to the Consulate (which is a lie, basically). CSC ignored our letters all together. NVC said they couldn't do anything and it's now been 90 days.

Brian contacted his congresswoman's office last night and they're being extremely helpful. Said they've dealt with this same situation quite a few times and that if he e-mailed our information to their immigration specialist, she'd look into it for us. Apparently they have a liason at the CSC. So we have our fingers crossed that this will find our missing paperwork.

That's pretty much the best advice that can be given... contact your congressman and or senators office. See if they can do anything for you!

08/15/2007 - K-1 Visa approved
