Visa approved in Frankfurt

Hey,

our visa was approved last Wednesday. We called the Consulate yesterday to see if they have sent it. They told us it hadn't been sent but that it's going out today(Monday). However after checking in with DHL (Tracking, calls), DHl told us that they haven't received it yet. Is it possible that the Consulate has another step before handing it over to DHL and when it will be given to DHL?

We really want to make our wedding date which is only 10 days away.

I do not know if there are any other departments involved other than the IV-visa unit, but at the interview, they will have told the beneficiary that it takes 7-10 work days to receive the visa, and that you should make your plans accordingly, so I think your schedule is pretty tight. My visa took exactly 7 work days to arrive. I can however imagine that DHL does not always update their systems right away, so your visa letter might not show up yet even though it has been sent by the consulate. I am sorry I cannot contribute more, but I wish you good luck!
