2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

WE ARE APPROVED!!! In fact, I don't know if the guy was purposely flashing it at me, but the papers were stamped approved before he even interviewed me. I will post my review right away here but.. Damn, what a morning. I left Surrey at 830 and didn't get to the consulate till 11. An hour after my appointment time. Thanks to an accident on the Fraser bridge that took over an hour to get past, then an additional half hour to get to the consulate from there, but they were really good, said that they were waiting for me upstairs, they waved me through, went through security and it was less than an hour in and out. I was so stressed about being late that I almost cried when the guard said go through. then the woman at counter B asked why I was so late and as soon as I mentioned accident and Fraser bridge she held up her hand and said ,"Say no more". Everyone was so friendly, questions were easy.

Congrats! That sounds like an INCREDIBLY stressful morning - I had to print out her tax documents Wednesday morning, and that was bad enough! I left at 8 AM as well, just to be safe, and took the train.

I really wish I was able to interview in Vancouver. I'm over in Victoria, so it would just be a matter of hopping the ferry. As it stands, I have to take my medical exam in Surrey, and then fly to Montreal for my interview. :(

She is, thank you! Luckily her, as well as her family, have been unaffected. Granted, friends and coworkers of ours/hers have had some damage, one of whom is stranded in one of the mountain towns in which the roads were washed away, but everyone at the very least has been accounted for, so we're very grateful for that. :)

I will be leaving in 6 weeks. I have to give notice on my apartment and at work, and I need to give others time for a few things. I know it is going to go so fast though.

Well, I am in administrative Processing now because they didnt read the forms where I checked that my kids arent coming with me or following me. They Tried to call me while i was driving home and sent me an e-mail, so I responded to the e-mamil to provide a statement that they were not following or coming. Hopefully they will get that today and get the visa out ASAP. I am not putting any notices in until I have my visa firmly in hand.
