Hello Everyone,

Since you all seem to be going through this process right now I'd like to know if anyone knows what i should expect for "Packet 3".

I have NOA2, and confirmation from NVC that it was sent to Montreal. However, after weeks I have had no response from them. There is no phone number to call, plus our emails that we have sent them have not been responded to with "10-15 day waiting time". We're completely in the dark.

How do we even know if they have/are sending Packet 3? What is needed in Packet 3? How does the interview scheduling process work? Do we schedule an interview date or are we given one?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Well I am sitting in a hotel close to Dr. Cheema's office. My Medical is tomorrow and interview on Thursday. This is really happening and well before I ever even expected NOA2.

I will definitely post a review as soon as I get back from everything.

04/23/14 - Checklist received via email, discarded

04/25/14 - Call to NVC dictates IV package under review, advised to resend AOS package, emails it once more (recieved autoreply), literally moments after hitting send an email is received responding to the original 3/29th email that the AOS package is under review

04/28/14 - AOS approved, false checklist asking for IV package

05/01/14 - IV under review email received, CASE COMPLETE! :]

05/07/14 - Received email confirming case complete

05/16/14 - Received P4 letter with interview date

06/16/14 - Medical exam in Surrey, BC

06/23/14 - Interview date! Approved! CEAC status changes to "Issued!"

06/26/14 - Visa received

07/08/14 - POE at Peace Arch Crossing in Blaine, WA, and a 25 hour road trip home to Colorado!

06/13/16 - Mailed the I-175 to CA!

06/16/16 - Received notification that the package was delivered successfully

06/21/16 - NOA1 (on wifey's birthday~)

06/25/16 - NOA for biometrics appointment

07/14/16 - Biometrics date

Process from start to finish (before ROC):

10 months, 3 weeks, 5 days!

Beneficiary - Applying for CR1/IR1 (but also played the K3 card prior to understanding it may be phased out.)

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

April 24 - IV scanned into their system.

May 2 - False checklist for IV documents= AOS approval.

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

- Supervisor review initiated.

My medical was yesterday at Dr. Cheema's, and my interview is tomorrow. Everything went well, and it was really easy! I'll be heading back there this afternoon to pick up the results, and then I'll start getting nervous/ready for the interview tomorrow!

Medical done, Dr. Cheema is great, very friendly. I did have to get the MMR vaccine again cause my dr.s office only had results for the measles and rubella but not mumps. Otherwise he was very chatty and friendly. I Pick up results tomorrow then interview Thursday. He did say there were a lot of Calgarians through this week.

Did he do the vaccine for you there? I had the vaccine records indicate that as well(MMR#1 as a kid, but then only MR), so I had the MMR#2 done last week.

I'd think you should have no problem pro star, and maybe the best thing was to ditch that realtor if they couldn't sell your place in this market!

Lakehouse: sadly I'm far enough out of Calgary to be in it's own really slow market. (Halfway between Calgary and Drumheller).

There was someone who put in an offer when I first listed - but it wasn't enough to cover realtor fees. So...now that the realtor is a non issue....we can play ball. If I lose 1-2k from legal and mortgage payout fees, at this point so be it.

I'm just praying to whichever god will listen right now.

Good news guys - we got approved!

The interview was fairly straightforward, and actually not too hard! Stressful though, as the guys behind the counter don't really tell you much of what is going on or what they are doing, they just ask a few questions.
