I want to use my friends as joint sponsor, because my present income is not enough. My question is, is my friends considered as an household member. I don't have my family here, am the only one in the U.S. My friends make good money and they are ready to act as a joint sponsor, but someone said they are not my household member. Please feed me back.

You are confusing things. A Household Member is different from a Joint Sponsor.

A Household Member is closely related to and lives with the I-864 sponsor or Joint Sponsor.

How many friends are you talking about? Are they related?
