Hi all, I sent in the I-130 form for my spouse (Canadian) about 3 weeks ago, received a receipt but I'm pretty sure I forgot some documents (marriage certificate, photos, and G325-A for both of us). Can I send that stuff in now or do I have to wait until they send me a letter asking for it? Thanks all, I appreciate it.

If you're lucky, they'll RFE you for the documents. If not, they'll just deny and you have to send again. I assume they cashed your check?

What is "pretty sure"

That's a lot of stuff to not be positive about.

I suggest you take the rest of this process a little slower and make sure you're including everything in your paperwork.

Wait for an RFE, don't send things separately on your own.

you will get different replies on this subject

from my experience, you can try to head it off by sending a letter outlining the corrections and all the supporting documents

you will send it to the office listed on the NOA1. if you can confirm it has already been dispatched to a local office, send it there (confirmation by phone with an IO)

mark it attention 130 unit

good luck

Thanks for the reply, how do I confirm if it's been dispatched to a local office? Just by calling USCIS? I'm not sure what an IO is, sorry.

It is not an IO, it's an ISO, Immigration Service Officer. They are the tier 2 of when you call to the USCIS. The first person you talk to is a Customer Service Representative or CSR. They can only tell you what you can see on your computer. They are tier 1. If they're asked, they must refer you to a tier 2, an ISO, who can see a lot more of what is going on with your case.

Remember only the petitioner can call the USCIS.
