Over a month and no packet 3

It's been over a month and we still have not received packet 3 from the embassy. Tried their phone number and cant get a live person and they havent responded to my email.

Yea I got 2 more days to go to be a full month with no Packet 3. Luckly I sent in the downloaded version online earlier this month and got the interview date. I don't know if the consulate in India have the Packet 3 for download.

I know how you feel i went through this myself it was more than one month and i my fiance never recieved his we had to email the Embassy so many times finally they sent him another packet the first one was lost. It took almost 2 months to recieve packet 3. I stayed on them though i emailed the Embassy at least once a week and when i emailed them i sent it 3 times to make sure they received it. Through there Embassy in Cairo you can only get someone via email. And sometimes it takes time for them to get your petition and put it into there system. But i would definetely stay on top of it and email them with your case number and tell them you have not recieved packet 3. They will respond just don't give up keep trying until you get them to respond.

Keep trying - send more and more e-mails. I was not lucky with any phone calls, but have been lucky with e-mails. My fiance though has been able to get through on the phone. Generally I get a response to my e-mails within 1-2 business days.

You can download Packet 3 from their web-site http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/ivforms.html. If you haven't already downloaded this, it could be worked on while you are waiting a response from them. That way as soon as you get the e-mail or connect on the phone stating they have sent out Packet 3, you could send it back that day.

We had difficulties even getting the correct Packet 3. Their e-mail to us clearly said to go to their web-site and download.

Hi , Yes i downloaded it from the website and we have almost everything ready to go. We only need her police certificates and she was told to bring her embassy letter and they would issue it fast. I am in Mumbai now, wondering if i can go to the embassy myself?
