It asks if you have relatives LIVING in the USA. Pretty easy. Either they do or they don't. Don't make this harder than it really is.

Could've said it a little nicer to the OP. Just answer the question with a period on the end, not a different kind of period. :/

The question is simply to see if you have ties to America. (i.e. that you want to secretly move in with your siblings if they live in Florida, etc.) But, since they're in Pakistan that means you can't try to establish domicile in the States. The fewer people on your list of relatives in the US, the easier it's going to be to get your visa, typically.

You say what you want and don't attempt to lecture me about what I say. Who or what do you think you are?

The question is clear. You have decided to read into what you think the meaning is because you want people to think its some sort of conspiracy.

They are in Pakistan so you he cant try to establish domicile here? What is the reason for the visa then?

Fewer people on the list? You mean you are advising people to lie about relatives living in the USA? The truth needs to be told in every case.

Yeah, it doesn't matter what the "best answer" is. The only answer is the correct, truthful answer. No need to game the system or psyche yourself out about what your truthful answer says.

When did I ever command the person to purposely list fewer people on the list? I was simply explaining, in depth, the reasoning behind the question as you should on this site. (deleted)...this has nothing to do with conspiracies, only that some people want to make sure they fill out their form correctly before submitting it to the embassy. And everyone knows USCIS can't give you the time of day if you decide to ask them these questions. You completely misread my response to the OP.

I have learned unfortunately that much of the rest of the world, especially the third world, lies to get ahead and live lives all contorted with various lies. Spend some more time on this forum and you will be amazed. To many people, visiting the US is a big mystery and they cannot understand that they should tell the truth. They think it is a big game full of tricks. In fact, in the Philippines, the US consulate started a campaign to teach people that there were no trick answers and that all they wanted was the truth because people did not understand that.

So sometimes over-explaining or trying to guess what USCIS/DOS wants or decides based on the answers given isn't so helpful. And the "goal" isn't to have the fewest amount of people on the list. It is okay to have lots of people on that list and possible to get approved. So the reasoning you gave isn't exactly correct, either. Telling people what you did might make them think they MUST hide the truth or get denied, and that isn't true. Many people don't speak English well either, and all that explanation is just lost on them.

I don't think Ning's initial response was rude.

The O P s question is clear. The form asks simply if they have relatives LIVING in the USA. They do not. The answer is simple even if you cant understand what that means. All people, not some need to fill out the forms correctly. Not some as you advise. All of them. Your responses are incomplete and WRONG.

Everybody doesn't " know that USCIS wont give them the time of day" . You just don't get it. In fact some of us have sat down in person with USCIS many times and know how they respond. You are spreading misinformation in order to be what you are not.

Now refrain from breaking the rules of TOS or be banned.

please follow the advice in your last sentence above.
