If , indeed, this has been pushed back to the 29th, aiyo !!!!

Nota.Bene.: Anyone chasing a K-1 visa should NOT pay attention to the USCIS Guangzhou notice, as that's not the IV Unit, at all.

That date should not affect folk

chasing

a K-1 visa, a K-2 visa, a CR-1/2 visa, a K-3/K-4 visa, an IR-1/2/5 visa

as

USCIS Guangzhou does not handle immigrant visas.

The link you've given is from USCIS Guangzhou, and not from US Consulate Guangzhou/IV Unit

Here's the IV Unit's blurb:

The various units (ACS and Adoptions were the first, then IV, NIV, and USCIS) have posted their own announcements - re-opening dates are anywhere from July 22 to July 29. No dates have been changed since the first announcement by ACS in early June.

No general consulate announcement has been made that I'm aware of.

I am pleased to report an IR-1 interview occurred today, 26 July, at the new Consolidated Consulate Complex.

No USCIS Guangzhou office involvement.

Post #1 dealt with USCIS Guangzhou annoucement, not the IV announcement.
