cold snap here too..was 50s yesterday and only in the teens today...I hate the quick fluctuations like that...will get much worse later in winter, but it feels so much colder when it's so sudden like that.

garyandmarylou...where on the border are you?? I lived in Beloit for the first 20some years of my life, but we live in northern WI now...just curious! :)

Its sleet here now (grand rapids area Michigan), but we're supposed to get lots of snow too.. Which sucks because Mikey (husband) has to plow it all for work! Eek.. at least he'll be in a big truck with 4 wheel drive but it makes for a very early morning.. Bleah too much snow

Very weird here. We have had about 3 hours of sleet. With the 20MPH winds it sounded like someone throwing gravel on the windows. We have about 2 inches of sleet now. It is just now changing over to snow. Some of the biggest flakes I have ever seen. It's gonna be fun.

Well, I just got a text from Larry. He works in Plainfield (just outside Indianapolis) and he says it is sleeting there.

It better not spread to Cincy! I'm supposed to be flying into there next Friday... :unsure:

OMG!!! We are having thundersnow!!!! This is only the second time in my life I have seen lightning and thunder during a snow storm. We are having a world-class blizzard now!!

OMG!!! We are having thundersnow!!!! This is only the second time in my life I have seen lightning and thunder during a snow storm. We are having a world-class blizzard now!!

Ive only seen thundersnow a few times myself, its snowing quite steadily here now and wind is awful. The vechiles that are driving by the house are going very slow. My hubby is on his way to work and i am a nervous wreck :crying: Hopefully he rings soon to say he made it ok.

Yeah....that was really wild! I woke up to look outside this morning and couldn't find my car.....it's covered in a snow drift! Don't guess I'll be going anywhere today.

Cool! Lake Geneva is a *nice* area!! Much nicer than Beloit! :P I did go to school in Clinton though...we were right on the border, so we all did... I'm glad about that. Anyway, nice to see another Wisconsinite! :) M.

Gary got to work safe and sound whew! After 2 hours of standing around the company decided they could go home :angry: IMO they should have called them off to begin with. The snow had gotten worse by the time he came home but he got home safe and sound :) Thanks for your wishes Luz (F)
