You need a translated copy of BC if it is not in English.

Copy of the non-US Citizen Spouses passport (translated if required)

Translation is required for the passport copies?

Aren't passports usually in English as well as whatever the native language may be? If so they wouldn't need translation. Usually the only document that needs translation is the birth certificate (oh, and the marriage certificate if married in a foriegn country).

Are copies of the US Citizen's passport required? One of the links on VJ (listed above in the previous post by Devilette) says "yes", but the step-by-step guide pinned in this forum does not say anything about that.

No.

For I-130 (and I assume I-129F) you need proof of citizenship for the US Citizen, which can be a Passport for example. For I-485 its not required.

Tax Information on the Affidavit of Support Form includes:

Tax return - A statement of how much you got BACK on your taxes; hence the word "RETURN" You can either get it from the IRS as a transcript (I believe) or if you did it via HRBlock / Jackson Hewitt, etc. they should have given you copies and a statement on how much you got back/ were going to get back. (I got an RFE for this and have seen the same happen to a few people as well. I believe if I didn't have this problem, mine would've been done by now.)

W2s and copy of 1040s (I sent the last three years' paperwork)

ALL - Even though the "Evidence of Comingling Assets" is not required for the AOS (I-485) submission, should we submit whatever documentation we have anyway or is "antoniostar" referring to the lifting of conditions (I-751)?

Cheers!!!

no, he's referring to what you need for the interview, not I-485 submission.

You do?

EDIT: I don't see anything in the instructions for I-864 that you need to supply proof of citizenship with it. The checklists says you need tax returns, plus maybe employment letter and paystubs. That's it.
