NoA1 is the first letter that they accept your file... This is just an update...means that they give alien regustration number for the beneficiary..you will see the number when u receive the NOA2...Goodluck on your journey

yes, that is your NOA1!

How long for NOA2??? It depends, but if you will see the timeframe of USCIS- CSC (California Service Center) it will tell you 5months... but then in our experiences... it depends... so meaning, alot of patience in waiting will be badly needed! But the most important thing now is you have started!!!

you can also try to see all VJ members timeline stat so you'll have an idea.. ;)

Have a happy visa journey!

this is just the update the progress your petition, the NOA1 is when USCIS received your petition and you got the receipt number so you can check on the web.

Your NOA-1 should look like this:

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Vermont Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number EAC1xxxxxx. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your case. This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your case remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your case must be verified with USCIS.

You should have gotten this notification prior to the "alien number change" notification. The EAC# is a receipt number that can track the status of your case. You should also get a "hardcopy" of this in your regular mail. Did you get your hardcopy? Are you signed up for email alerts?
