Just wondered how long it took the UK VJers to get visa in hand with paying the expedited delivery fee?

With the holidays on the way flight tickets are rising, I can get a ticket going out on the 12th tues for $ 400 and after the 12th much higher, thats only leaves 4 days between and includes the weekend and seems as i would be cutting it REAL CLOSE.

I know i should be waiting to make sure we get the approval before buying a ticket, and the 4day for visa in hand, its just a good deal on a direct flight and im all about being a coupon clipper and saving money when i can...So dont be jumping all over my butt its only just a question to see if it could be possible to get the visa in hand in the time frame i just gave to save a few bucks Kelle

I wouldn't risk that, with 4 days - too close! Look at ICE & Mags, they went thru hell getting their visas. Better to pay the extra & be sure. Can you change the cheap flight for a fee?

No cant change it for a fee ...i know im going to end up waiting on a later date, just was looking for a cheapie to save some money....Just bought a house for the 2 of us and im not even living in it or unpacked everythings just sitting waiting on him so we can walk in together and make it ours and not mine... I just want this to be all over and start the new life

No cant change it for a fee ...i know im going to end up waiting on a later date, just was looking for a cheapie to save some money....Just bought a house for the 2 of us and im not even living in it or unpacked everythings just sitting waiting on him so we can walk in together and make it ours and not mine... So back to searching for later flights

I agree with D. It is AWFUL not being able to book those tickets and watching the prices hike up. BUT, you might be lucky and still be able to book one on that date after getting the visa. I know that my flight, on the 8th, is still 2/3rds empty. It is the week after the 12th that the flights start to fill up. You may be lucky and it'll all pan out fine.

The worse thing that could happen is that if you book the flights and the visa doesn't arrive. You'll have lost $400...

Just sit tight and try to be patient. Difficult I know!

Personally I would not recomend anyone booking flights prior to having that passport/visa in your hand.

I really hope there is no delay for you
