Oye, Charles. Show a little honesty here. When I asked you what other non-felonous acts you consider criminal, you bring up Georgia's definition of when a misdemeanor becomes a felony. The fact remains - being here illegally is not a felony, nor is it criminal. You want to demonize illegal aliens by calling them criminal and lump them into that category that is traditionally reserved for the social deviants (drug dealers, wife beaters, thieves, etc.). Sorry, but I ain't buying into that twisted logic.

steven, the lack of honesty is on your part. you'r so quick to dismiss the negative aspects of illegal immigration so quickly it makes my teeth hurt. you make it sound all pie in the sky all is well. you're in for a rude awakening................all is not well. you seem to have this burning desire to give away our country and its wealth to whoever for whatever reason. and it will happen if you and others have your way. then you'll be crying like a little kid who just had their candy stolen.

have you ever considered that just maybe, your thinking about this topic is flawed? a lawbreaker is a lawbreaker, a spade a spade, no matter what sugar coating you put on them. ;)

Illegal aliens are only illegal until the laws are changed to legalise them. And believe me,

it WILL happen since we simply do not have the resources to deport 10-20 million people.

(Same goes for drug possession - what a BS crime!)

We don't have the resources to keep them either. There is a backlash going on among the working class. Because of the liberal press, it doesn't get much ink, but it wil be like a sneak attack when it is acknowledged.

Don't hurt your teeth, Charles...it's just VJ...Sheesh. :P I never said it's not a problem, nor do I advocate doing nothing. But I won't demonize those immigrants who haven't used our legal system to be here. That to me is dishonest and simplistic.

Glass houses spring to mind...I guess some illegal acts aren't quite so illegal...like breaking speed limits? Personally, I get a lot more angry about people who break the law using cars than illegal aliens. Cars are weapons, especially those huge gallumphing SUV's. As for the Hummer...

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

you won't demonize those "immigrants" who break the law to be here? now that is some dishonesty! does it not bother you to be going the legal route while making excuses for those who go the illegal route?

Nothing dishonest nor simplistic about demonizing them and their enablers. I've been fighting the illegal enablers since the 1980s. Since I'm not among those who let the genie out of the bottle and created this sorry situation, there is no hypocrisy, dishonesty nor simplicty involved on my part. One of my last remaining rights as a citizen is the ability to have a viewpoint that isn't designed to give away the country. I intend to use it at every opportunity.

Just out of interest, is it mainly the illegal Mexicans that get you all fired up? What do you think of illegal Cubans for instance?

There are no illegal Cubans. They become legal as soon as they step on American soil.

I wouldn't limit myself to any particular country. It's just that the Mexicans have this arrogance and attitude of entitlement that I've come across in every state I've been in. Look at the protests from last spring demanding "rights". Alot of those folks marching weren't Mexican, but it was the Mexicans who assumed that it was ok to fly their flags, pledge alligience to Mexico, and do their speeches in Spanish while demanding more of our tax dollars.

That once deported illegal woman taking shelter in a Chicago church while sending her son out to lobby for amnesty isn't helping the cause either. Workers walking off of meat packing jobs because the company started checking SSNs and fired people cheating have a nerve. The pay for meat packing jobs is one-fourth what it once was because of the scabs and their employers. More people resent this ####### than don't. They have made a big mistake bringing more attention to themselves and making demands on our systems while stealing working class jobs and lowering wages.

No, it's not just Mexicans, but they are the ones who bring the most attention upon themselves.
