USCIS taking 13 months average to process i-130's for immediate relatives

I checked on USCIS website today and as of May 31st, they are saying its taking 13.3 months average to process I-130 petitions for immediate relatives of US citizens.

That's a long time. My brother in laws was approved in 4 months back in march 2011

Anyone else know anything about this

if you are chasing a spousal visa, you should be following the MSC stats here at VJ ..

Hypnos, I disagree with your 6-8 months Timeline. My wife and I have been in the system from November 2012 (8 months) and still the process is incomplete and we have no idea whatsoever when we will reach completion of the process.

The latest data point in may states they have 283, 697 applications. The completed 33, 120 applications in may. At this processing speed we got an 8.5 month wait. Better hope they get more adjucators over on the I-130 band wagon or we are going to be trick or treating for noa2s. :-P

I was hoping when we filed that we'd have NOA2 by the end of the year. My field office, Boston, completed 374 petitions in May out of 4,788 pending It's looking pretty grim.

They might send some of the cases that have been waiting a while back to the service centers. We'll see what happens

6 - 8 months for approval of the I-130 (not the same thing as the issuance of the immigrant visa) seems to be the median, based on both information people post here, as well as USCIS' official processing times.
