A W2 is something that is issued by employers that shows what wages were and the amount of taxes that were withheld, not something a filer would fill out.

Your fiance would fill out 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ.

Possibly, you mean "should he submit them?" He should submit all of them for the affidavit of support (if that's needed for K-1). Otherwise, not sure what you mean. W-2 is a tax document generated by any employer who paid wages during a tax year. Form 1040 is a form filed, by someone with income, to the IRS to report earnings throughout the tax year.

My fiance (now Husband) is also active military, he sent me his W2's to accompany the affidavit of support but during my interview at the embassy, they only asked for the affidavit of support; the W2's are just evidence of his income and they did not need that but make sure you have it just in case. Your fiance can print them online through his military account. That is all you need!!

Demmy thanks and i already have his 3yrs w2.. there was a guy who made me worried saying if i dont take 1040 i would get denied :-(

i think its better i have both 1040 and w2 just incase.
