DS-230 Signature in Native language problem

My in-laws have to sign ds-230 form. They live in india and planning to immigrate to usa. Their agent asked them to sign ds-230 in indian language because passport has that signature. I wanted to see if we could sign in English so that afterwards they will not have problem signing their name when arrived in usa. Does Mumbai consulate give problems if signs are different from passport or other documents to ds230 form. Is it good idea to keep all signature in native language. ds2032 was sign in English. Thanks for any input..

USC but ds 230 needs to be sign by immigrant applicant.

I'm not sure why they can't sign in their native language? They can practice on their own for their signature.

But there should be some people who have Indian family members that can weigh in on this more than I can for sure! :)
