Same day EAD at San Diego--is this still true?

Hi everybody,

My fiance has arrived a month ago and we're getting married in two weeks! We're kind of getting ready for the next steps, but while I was browsing online for references, I came across a couple of entries where posters claimed that when they filed for their AOS and EAD at the San Diego or Chula Vista offices, that they got their EAD on the same day as well.

Is there anybody here who can confirm or refute that? :help: If it is the case, then the trip to SD might be worth it.

Also, as a side note. I don't know if the US Embassy in the Philippines has grown more lenient, but my fiance's parents and his siblings were granted multiple-entry visas to the US so we're happy that he'll have representation at the wedding :)

cheers and thanks in advance!
