Hi All,

Once the interview is completed and approved do we need to pay the fee in the consulate it self? or can it be paid online before we travel to US ?

If needs to be paid at consulate do they accept cash or DD or in what form are we supposed to pay.

Thanks

mars 76..i don't think you can pay the fees at the usconsulate. They will provide you with an information sheet guiding you how to pay the $165 fees online before you enter USA.

You can pay now but it won't be "Done" until the beneficiary steps in to the country and then from that it could take 2 months.

Do you mean 2 months to receive GC for beneficiary

To receive the actual card it could take 2 months from the moment beneficiary steps on US soil.

Hi all,

Is it possible to leave the country and re-enter after POE and before the GC has been issued?

Does the Visa issued after the Interview guarantee entry into the US as i dont want to wind up from here then find out about some issue at the POE, as i was rejected entry previously.

please help.

Thank you

good luck to all.

Hi All,

My wife and kid attended the Consulate Interview on 14th March and their visas are approved.

Our appointment was at 7:30 AM and we reached there by 6:45 and they called all the people waiting at around 7 and asked to form two lines one for Non Immigrant visa applicant and the other for immigrant applicants.

They won't allow the petitioner (even if one of the applicant is an infant) to accompany the applicants.

The only questions they asked my wife are related to my previous marriage.

1) When was i first married.

2) whether i have any kids from my first marriage

3) Whether our marriage is an arranged marriage?

Then they handed her the immigrant fee form and told they their visas are approved.

I checked CEAC Case status and it is still in "READY" State.

I have paid the Immigrant Fee by creating an account with ELIS.

Waiting for the passports ..:-)

Thanks

Thanks vkrishn,

Once the interview is done does the consulate give any sealed envelop which we need to submit to the Immigration Officer at the Port of Entry ??

Or will it send it to the Passport Collection Center (If at all they send any such envelop).

Thanks...

Sealed Envelope + passport should be available for pick from the VAC (wherever you opted to be picked up).
