I don't lock the front door when I am home. The wife does, but not me. I am around undocumented Californians all the time. Good people. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want them living here.

1. Because they broke the law to get here.

2. Because when someone eventually gives them permanent residence/citizenship they are going to take up man hours and time (which seems to be in very short supply around the USCIS) getting these things, which will have to be taken away from someone else who is applying the right and legal way.

3. Because it's not fair that they should be here while people who followed the rules are needlessly held up waiting for NOA2's, at the national service center, or in AP hell.

I agree, but for the time being Obama's DACA order is allowing them to live here legally. That's a whole lot more than tons of people in AP here at Visajourney are getting. I would support a Dream Bill if it actually did something to fix the system, I agree that the Dreamer's don't deserve to be punished for their parents bad decisions. That still does not make the rest of this awful bill right!

I don't want to hear about immigration reform until the current system is fixed for those who follow the law. There is more concern for illegals than there is for those of us who did it according to the book. Maybe I would be in favor of some version of a Dream Bill, but there is much work to be done first.

So you're for illegal immigrants but against legal gun ownership?

No. "Illegal Immigrant" is a derogatory term. I believe people should be free to live in a country of their choice.

I am for sensible laws regarding firearm ownership, including federal registration, and against the carrying of firearms without a specified need, or when they are being transported in an unloaded and secured condition, directly to and from a location where they will either be used or stored in a lawful manner.

There are several hundred million Chinese that would love to come here. Are we racist for not allowing asians to come here only hispanics?... I see it that way. .....If this is the attitude of let people live where they want to live. In 20 years the Chinese would be running the majority of the companies in the US. At least from a small business standpoint..One generation is all it would take. Three years ago my stepson came here speaking english at grade 5 level. 1st year in collage and he has a 3.9 grade average working on an engineering degree.

If you believe that, work on getting the laws changed to allow more open borders. I am actually with you there. But don't try to get amnesty for people who broke the law. Open borders is a great idea but till we have it we should not be screwing over people who follow the rules.

Why is illegal immigrant a derogatory term when that describes someone who didn't enter the country legally? Under our current laws, they are here illegally. Is ex smoker derogatory? Ex con? Recovering alcoholic? Diabetic? Bi-polar?
